I found an interest in hunting and hunting dogs by accident, when I once joined my uncle to go on a hunting trip. After that, I soon got the hunting licence in 1999.
I got more acquainted with retrievers after I met Tiina in 2003. The working retriever Kide was a joint project of ours. Kide has, despite his young age, already proven to be a great hunting companion in both pidgeon, duck and game hunts.
Out of dog sports I enjoy field trials the most. Hopefully in the future I will have a dog to train as well, as Tiina has pretty much been the trainer for Kide so far.

I have been a dog-person throughout my life and this passion for dogs is still going strong. I got my first retriever, a show line Golden "Kasper", at the age of 11 and got excited in a variety of dog sports. Kasper is truly a fantastic dog to own since what ever you wanted to do, he was always there ready to go with a funny look at his face. On the other hand, he is slightly stubborn, I-do-what-I-want -kind of boy, so at times a bit hard to work with. Nevertheless, he is still the best one I could have hoped for to be my first dog. Many, many years later, and after carefull planning, we got a field trial Golden "Kide" in 2005. Kide is a really enthusiastic worker, a good hunting companion, and, most importantly, an incredibly easy dog to live and go around with.
I have been a trainer in obedience in local Retriever, and dog associations for many years and am now a member in the field trial committee of Finnish Golden Retrievers.
